GU, thanks for the advice.I have a few days to spend in DV. My first day I'll be up and on the road very early (My body will be 8 hours ahead), so I'll get to the possibly around sunrise. I want to visit Ballarat, Darwin falls (lunch time) and head up to Emigrant pass to camp.
I've heard that there is a lunar eclips on Saturday so it might be good to be higher up.
I then wanted to visit the populated parts before taking Titus Canyon into the North end. I'll head south to the racetrack - the question then was about how to get out of DV, via Hunter Mountain, possibly visit Cerro Gordo or to backtrack to Ubehebe/Crankshaft to Big Pine.
I have time and will have equipment to stay out.
Can you get to cerro Gordo from the Hunter Mountain side or do I need to drop down to R190 and then climb back up one of the grades?
